Event date: 12 Nov 2024 (Tue)
Venue: New World Town Hall (83 King Lam St, Cheung Sha Wan, Hong Kong)
On November 12th, the “Big Health and Social Responsibility” event was successfully held at 83 KLS in Lai Chi Kok, co-organized by Vantis and Oracle NetSuite, with the support of Asian Anti-Cancer Foundation, Hong Kong Retail Technology Industry Association, Metabio, Mindfulness in biz, and Occupational Safety and Health Council.
During the event, Andy Chan, Sales Director of Vantis, and Nick Cheng, Hong Kong Sales Director of Oracle NetSuite, shared how to use ERP systems to help companies implement ESG initiatives. They emphasized that companies should strengthen data analysis and use data to adjust and optimize relevant policies in a timely manner. Through the Oracle NetSuite solution, businesses can achieve personalized and precise management systems to drive innovative development. Additionally, they mentioned how monitoring and evaluating environmental, social, and governance performance through ERP systems is crucial for building a sustainable business model. In today’s competitive market environment, leveraging advanced technology to achieve ESG goals will be one of the key factors for business success.
Experts from the big health industry, such as William Chan, Market Expansion Director of Metabio, investment expert Amy Yuang, and senior consultant Enoch Lau from the Occupational Safety and Health Bureau shared their insights and experiences on corporate social responsibility in the field of big health. Their sharing inspired corporate representatives at the event to have a deeper awareness and understanding of ESG.
The most active part of the event was the final panel section, hosted by Vantis CFO Eric Lam, who invited four guests: Edward Lau, founder of Mindfulness in biz; Will Shek, CEO of Metabio; Vincent So, Chairman of RTIA; and Ronal Lee, General Manager of Oracle NetSuite. The four guests discussed from different perspectives how they support Hong Kong enterprises in ESG development and how to invest in ESG to help businesses achieve sustainable development.
The whole event fully demonstrated the high level of attention from all sectors to the topics of public health and social responsibility, and promoted more cooperation and communication among related fields. This event not only allowed participants to gain a deep understanding of the important role ESG plays in sustainable development for businesses, but also inspired more cross-industry collaboration and joint efforts to promote the practical implementation of ESG. It is hoped that there will be more similar events in the future to encourage all sectors to work together to create a better and more sustainable future.
